Kocaeli 概要
Boat tours in Kocaeli leave from the harbour at Kefken in the district of Kandıra. Excursion boats follow the Black Sea coast past Kapri Cove, Kovanağzı, the Pink Rocks and Cebeci before reaching Kefken Island, about 0.8 km offshore. Protected as a first-degree archaeological site, the island has Genoese wall remains, around forty wells thought to have been built to collect rainwater, and a lighthouse built in 1879 that is still in use. You can swim during the stop on the island, but there is nowhere to buy food or drinks there. The whole trip takes about three hours.
