Gili Islands sobre
The Gili Islands are three small sand islands off the north-west of Lombok, with no motor vehicles. Boats run snorkelling trips around all three: the group of underwater statues off Meno, Turtle Point off the north-east of Trawangan and the reefs of Air are the main stops. Green and hawksbill turtles are often seen on the shallow reefs. The islands are reached by public boat from Bangsal on Lombok and by speedboat from Bali. The dry season runs April to October.
