Maafushi نبذة
Maafushi is a local island in South Malé Atoll and the hub for boat trips from guesthouses in the Maldives. Day boats go to sandbanks offshore, reef snorkelling spots and sunset dolphin cruises. In Vaavu Atoll to the south, the point off Alimatha where nurse sharks gather is the target of longer day trips. Speedboats connect the island to Malé and Hulhumalé. The dry season runs December to April.
