Mirissa نبذة
Mirissa on Sri Lanka's south coast is the centre of whale watching. Because the continental shelf is close to shore here, blue whales can be seen on morning trips from November to April, and sperm whales and dolphin pods are also common. Boats leave early and spend a few hours offshore. Short coastal trips run in Weligama bay, and the Galle fort lies to the west. Sailings stop in the monsoon months when the sea is rough.
