Moorea نبذة
Moorea lies opposite Tahiti, half an hour away by ferry. Boat trips round the two deep bays on the north of the island, Opunohu and Cook's, and stop at the shallow sandbar in the north-west of the lagoon where stingrays and blacktip reef sharks gather. A motu picnic and snorkelling on the outer reef are part of the programme. From July to November humpback whales pass offshore and are watched from licensed boats. Departures are from Papetoai, Maharepa and Haapiti.
