Panoramica
In summer, direct boats from the city centre thread between the islands of the inner and middle archipelago to reach Sandhamn in two and a half to three and a half hours. Sandhamn is the old pilot village and sailing harbour on Sandön in the outer archipelago, surrounded by pine forest and sandy shores. A few hours are spent on the island for walking, swimming at Trouville beach or a meal by the harbour. The return follows the same route; a shorter alternative is the bus to Stavsnäs and a boat of about an hour from there.
