Edirne نبذة
Edirne's gateway to the sea is the Gulf of Saros. The gulf reaches about 60 km inland between the Gallipoli Peninsula and the Thracian coast, where a shallow shelf lines the shore at Gökçetepe, Mecidiye, Erikli and Enez. Day boat tours from Erikli stop to swim in coves such as Mecidiye, İtalyan Koyu and Uzunkum and continue to İbrice harbour and Gökçetepe Nature Park. In the city itself, Mimar Sinan's UNESCO-listed Selimiye Mosque is well worth a visit.
