Resumen
Gölyazı is a historic fishing village built on a small peninsula on the northern shore of Lake Uluabat. The village's fishing boats await on the shore to take groups on short lake tours around the peninsula and nearby islets; the boat is rented per group. During the tour, the captains tell the story of the village and the islands in the lake; it is noted that Kız Island, where the ruins of the Temple of Apollo are located, can only be reached by boat. From May to the end of summer, the water lilies covering the lake's surface are the most striking sight; the flowers open in the morning and close in the afternoon. Tours near sunset are preferred for photography.
