Sinop نبذة
Thanks to its natural inner harbour, Sinop is one of the busiest provinces on the Black Sea for excursion boats. Short trips from İskele Meydanı last about an hour, passing the castle walls and the sea-facing side of the Historic Sinop Prison before heading along the peninsula's south shore towards Karakum. These trips also run in the evenings throughout the summer. Longer private tours go to Akliman, about 9 km west of the city, and to Hamsilos Bay, presented as Türkiye's clearest example of a ria coastline; in good weather, İnceburun, Anatolia's northernmost point, and its lighthouse are seen from the sea.
