Ask before you sign.

The figure you see is the charter fee for the whole boat for your dates — the yacht, her crew, insurance and the standard equipment aboard. Fuel, food, drink, harbour fees and shore extras are paid from a provisioning allowance (APA) held separately, and VAT is itemised in advance. Nothing is estimated in your proposal: every line is a number you can hold us to.

The Advance Provisioning Allowance. It is your money, not ours: a float handed to the captain before you board, spent on your fuel, provisioning, berths and anything you ask for ashore. The captain keeps the receipts, shows you the running balance during the week, and returns the remainder in cash on the last day. If the week runs over, you top it up.

No. A crewed charter is priced per boat, for the period — whether you sail six or twelve. That is why a larger party often costs less per head than a hotel of the same standard.

Deliberately not. A boat is not a seat: the same week can be held by a broker in another country, and the crew, the harbour and your dates all have to be confirmed by a person before anyone takes money. You send your dates, we check the live calendar, and a proposal comes back — usually within the hour.

Standard schedule: fifty per cent on signing the charter agreement, the balance and the APA before embarkation, by bank transfer. Charter funds sit in a segregated client account until your charter begins — never mixed with our own.

The cancellation ladder in your signed agreement governs it — not this page. Where we manage to resell a cancelled week, we pass the benefit back to you as a partial refund. We would rather move your dates than keep your deposit.

None. Every boat here is crewed: a captain, and depending on the yacht a cook, a deckhand and a hostess. You are a guest aboard, not a skipper.

That is the point of a private charter. The itineraries we publish are lines we know by heart, not schedules — your captain reads the wind each morning and the week bends around you. If a bay is crowded, you go to the next one.

May to October. June and September are the quiet favourites: warm water, softer meltemi and far fewer boats than the July–August peak. Winter charters happen in other waters — the Caribbean, the Maldives, the Seychelles — and we plan those from the same desk.

We board them. No boat earns a place here from a photograph: we inspect her, meet the crew and taste the cook's food before we ever propose her. When a boat stops meeting that standard, she comes off the list.

Neither halfway. We contract the boats ourselves and one charter manager carries your file from first message to the last mile — proposal, contract, payments and the days themselves. There is no call centre and no ticket number.
