Fajardo en bref
Fajardo is the town on the eastern tip of Puerto Rico where the marinas used by boat trips are concentrated. The cays and reefs just offshore belong to La Cordillera Reef Nature Reserve, managed by the DRNA, and most trips head to Cayo Icacos for its beach and reefs. Palominos Island and Cayo Lobos in the reserve are privately owned and cannot be landed on. Longer day routes reach Culebra to the east and the island of Culebrita in the Culebra National Wildlife Refuge. Departures are from Villa Marina, Puerto del Rey and Las Croabas.
