Whitsundays en bref
The Whitsundays are 74 islands off the Queensland coast inside the Great Barrier Reef. Boats from Airlie Beach and Hamilton Island land on the silica sand of Whitehaven Beach on Whitsunday Island and walk up to the Hill Inlet lookout, with snorkelling on the reef. Sea turtles are seen, and humpback whales in season. November to May is stinger season, when protective suits are worn; June to October are the calmest months.
