Split en bref
Split and Trogir are the main harbours for day trips to the central Dalmatian islands. The best-known route runs by speedboat to the Blue Cave on Biševo, entered in small rowing boats; around midday the water glows blue. The same day can include Vis, Stiniva cove, Hvar town and the Pakleni Islands. Quieter routes spend the day swimming in the coves of Šolta and Brač. Cave entry depends on the sea and is closed when there is swell.
