Musandam en bref
Musandam is Oman's separate peninsula reaching into the Strait of Hormuz, where mountains drop straight into the sea and form fjord-like inlets. Wooden dhows from Khasab cruise up Khor Sham inlet, stop for snorkelling at Telegraph Island, a 19th-century British telegraph station, and pass fishing villages clinging to the shore. Dolphins are often seen in the inlet. Similar trips run from the Dibba side. The weather is mild from October to April.
