Atatürk Dam Lake tours depart from Baraj Park on the shores of Atatürk Dam Lake in the district of Samsat, Adıyaman, aboard the municipality's 45-person excursion boat. During the summer weekends, the tours explore the bays of the lake and Martı Island, where seagulls nest. As the boat passes over the area where the old Samsat, or ancient Samosata, lies beneath the dam waters since 1998, stories of the region are told. The site also offers activities such as motorboat rentals and water bikes. Samsat is 48 kilometers from Adıyaman city center and 32 kilometers from Kahta.
