Bursa en bref
Boat trips in Bursa take place on Lake Uluabat, a shallow lake of about 136 km² with a maximum depth of 10 m. Fishing boats from Gölyazı, a historic fishing village on a peninsula on the lake's north shore, make short trips around the peninsula and among the nearby islets; boats are hired per group. The lake has 11 islands of various sizes, the largest being Halilbey Island at about 190 hectares. Lake Uluabat was designated a Ramsar wetland in 1998. From May, water lilies cover the surface, opening in the morning and closing in the afternoon.
