Water trips in Nevşehir take place in Avanos, the Cappadocian town known for its pottery, on the Kızılırmak river that runs through its centre. Motorised gondolas, operated under the municipality's riverside project, leave from a pier in central Avanos and travel past the historic Stone Bridge, the suspension bridge and the riverside parks. The ride lasts about 25-35 minutes and runs in small groups. Sunset sessions are the most popular. Rides operate from April to October and make a short river break during a Cappadocia visit.
