Bora Bora about

Bora Bora is known for the lagoon and coral ring that encircle an extinct volcano. Lagoon tours leave Vaitape and Matira; the classic programme is snorkelling in the coral gardens, watching stingrays and blacktip reef sharks on a shallow sandbar and a lunch stop on a motu. Mount Otemanu is in view from every point. Boats go beyond the outer reef only in suitable weather. The dry season runs May to October.
