Nosy Be about
Nosy Be is the island off Madagascar's north-west coast from which day boat trips run to the small islands around it. Nosy Komba is known for its lemurs and craft village, and Nosy Tanikely to the south-west for the corals and sea turtles of a marine national park set up in 2011. Further out, Nosy Iranja is a pair of islets joined by a sandbar at low tide. Departures are from Ambatoloaka beach and Hell-Ville port, with longer runs made by speedboat. During the January–March cyclone season sailings depend on the weather.
