El Nido about
El Nido sits at the northern tip of Palawan on Bacuit Bay, a bay full of limestone islands. Island hopping is sold as the municipality's Tours A, B, C and D: Tour A covers the Big and Small Lagoons, Tour C the Hidden Beach and Matinloc Shrine. Lagoon entry is capped and the Big Lagoon is entered by kayak; visitors pay an environmental and conservation fee. Standard boats can carry large groups, which is why small-group and private bangka trips are popular.
