London about

A boat trip in London is a river cruise on the tidal Thames, not a sea trip. Boats leaving Westminster, Embankment and Tower piers pass Parliament, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge on the way down to UNESCO-listed Maritime Greenwich. In the summer season there are also longer sailings west from Westminster to Kew Gardens and Richmond, with journey times that vary with the tide. Commercial passenger boats on the Thames are licensed by the Port of London Authority or the maritime authority.
