Zakynthos about

Zakynthos's north-west coast is lined with tall limestone cliffs. Boats from Agios Nikolaos or Porto Vromi pass through the Blue Caves and come to Navagio Bay, known for the wreck of a ship that ran aground in 1980. Because of cliff instability, landing on the beach has at times been banned by the authorities, so the bay is usually seen from the water. Laganas Bay in the south is a national marine park and a loggerhead turtle nesting area, where boats follow speed and approach rules.
