Key West about
Key West is the last island of the Florida Keys, offshore from North America's only living barrier reef. Boats leave for reef snorkelling, sandbars in the shallow backcountry and sunset sails off Mallory Square. Dry Tortugas National Park and Fort Jefferson to the west are reached by ferry or seaplane. Similar reef trips run from Marathon and Islamorada. Hurricane season runs June to November, and winter is the busiest period.
