Tenerife about

Tenerife's south-west coast is known for a resident population of pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins all year round; boats leave Los Cristianos, Puerto Colón and Los Gigantes for these waters. Whale watching follows regional rules that limit how close and for how long boats approach. The Los Gigantes cliffs, over 500 metres high, and Masca bay beneath them are the swim stops. The island's volcanic coast allows trips in every month of the year.
