Cartagena about

Cartagena is the walled city on Colombia's Caribbean coast. Boats leave the Muelle de la Bodeguita for the Rosario islands, a group protected as a national park for its coral reefs. Playa Blanca on the Barú peninsula is the lunch stop with its white sand, and the neighbouring Cholón inlet is a shallow lagoon where boats anchor. Sunset trips run inside the bay. December to April is the dry season, when the sea is calmer.
