Overview
The Şehir Hatları short Bosphorus cruise is an afternoon ferry trip of about two hours for visitors without time for the full-day route. The ferry leaves Eminönü, picks up passengers at Üsküdar and Ortaköy, then continues up to the middle section of the strait before turning back. Here the Bosphorus narrows to roughly 700 metres between the Rumeli and Anadolu fortresses. Along the way you see Dolmabahçe Palace, Ortaköy Mosque, the Bosphorus Bridge and mansions on both shores. There is one sailing a day; the summer timetable reportedly adds an extra sailing on public holidays.
