Weather

If wind or waves make the trip unsafe, the operator postpones or cancels; you are never charged for an operator cancellation. You pay on board, so there is no prepayment at risk.

Local notes

• This tour is different from the half-day Sultaniye tour departing from Köyceğiz: it goes along the channel to İztuzu Beach and lasts all day.
• Kaunos Ancient City entrance is 3 euros, Museum Pass is valid, open from 08:30 to 20:00, and cash only at the ticket office.
• There are no islands in Lake Köyceğiz.
• İZTUZU: Beach is closed to the public from 20:00 to 08:00 between May 1 and October 31. Fires, tents, vehicles and animals are not allowed; umbrellas and sun loungers cannot be placed in designated nesting areas. Fine for violation is 699,245 TL, three times for legal entities.
• The speed limit in the channel and lake is 5 nautical miles; speedboats and unregistered boats are prohibited. Feeding sea turtles from the boat, mooring in reed areas, and disembarking passengers outside of piers are also prohibited (Muğla Governorate Köyceğiz Lake and Dalyan Channels Administration).
• The area is the Köyceğiz-Dalyan Special Environmental Protection Area (July 1988). The channel is the habitat of the endangered Nile softshell turtle (Trionyx triunguis).
