About this tour
In Avanos, the Cappadocian town known for its pottery, short river trips on motorised gondolas run along the Kızılırmak, which flows through the town centre. Operated under the municipality's riverside development project, the gondolas leave from a pier in central Avanos and follow the river past the historic Stone Bridge, the Suspension Bridge, riverside parks and bird-watching spots. The ride takes about 25 to 35 minutes and is most popular at sunset. Gondolas carry small groups such as families, friends and couples.
