About this tour

From Leeward the boat passes Blue Haven and runs out onto the shallow sands of the Caicos Bank. La Famille Express, a 1950s-built freighter stranded during Hurricane Frances in 2004, sits about 3 km offshore; climbing the ship is not safe, so it is viewed from the boat and swum around. On the way back there is a stop on the shallow bank for sand and shells. The hull is rusty; water shoes are advised.
