About this tour
Excursion boats on Lake Sapanca leave from the Rüstempaşa waterfront in the town centre. Trips have been run since 2018 by the S.S. Mavi Yol excursion-boat cooperative, whose boats are powered by electricity and solar energy, so they glide across the lake without engine noise or exhaust. The short outing lasts about 20 to 25 minutes and shows the Sapanca shoreline, the open lake and the wooded slopes of the Samanlı Mountains to the south. There is no swimming stop. Departures run at different times of day, with sunset being the most popular slot, and boats can also be hired for private occasions such as birthdays or proposals.
