About this tour

From the Charlotte Amalie waterfront the boat heads southeast to Buck Island, about 5 nautical miles away. The island is a national wildlife refuge, and at Turtle Cove snorkellers swim with green turtles grazing the seagrass. The shallow wreck nearby is an old cargo ship sunk as a reef in 1979 and broken up by storms. The trip takes half a day and returns to Charlotte Amalie.
