About this tour
A traditional sailing dhow leaves the Vilankulo shore for Magaruque, the archipelago's nearest island. There is snorkelling on the fringing reef and a swim stop on the beach, with lunch usually prepared on the sand. Because the dhow sails, crossing time depends on wind and tide, and an engine may be used in calm weather.
