Boat departs from Ootu Beach and sails to the motus in the southeast of the lagoon. Stops at Moturakau and Akaiami; Akaiami was a refueling stop for the flying boats of the Coral Route in the 1950s. Snorkel among giant clams and reef fish at the coral heads near the reef edge. Lunch is served on board and the day ends at Tapuaetai (One Foot Island), where the small post office stamps passports.
