Overview
From Elounda or Agios Nikolaos the boat crosses Mirabello bay to the walled island of Spinalonga, a leper colony until 1957, where the Venetian fortress is visited. On the way back there is a swim stop in Kolokitha bay, and some trips include a barbecue on the shore. The bay is sheltered, so the sea is calm on most days.
