Overview
From Puerto del Rey the boat crosses open water east to Culebra. It snorkels the Carlos Rosario reef on the west of Culebra, then swims at Playa Tortuga on the north of the uninhabited island of Culebrita in the Culebra National Wildlife Refuge. The crossing is in open sea and depends on the weather. Culebrita is visited only by day, and turtle nesting areas are kept clear.
