Overview
A half day in the southern part of Howe Sound on a private boat hired at Horseshoe Bay. Guests land at Snug Cove on Bowen Island for a walk in the village, then head to the sheltered cove of Halkett Bay Marine Park on Gambier Island. Howe Sound was designated by UNESCO as the Átl’ḵa7tsem/Howe Sound Biosphere Region in 2021; dolphins and humpback whales are seen from time to time. Route, length and stops are agreed with the group; the boat keeps clear of the Horseshoe Bay–Bowen ferry route.
