Overview
Leaving Port Hercule in the morning, the boat heads offshore into Pelagos, the marine mammal sanctuary shared by Monaco, France and Italy. With a guide on board, the crew looks for dolphins, pilot whales and on lucky days sperm or fin whales; sea turtles and seabirds may also be seen. The trip takes about four and a half hours with no swim stop. Approach rules are followed and animals are never chased; sightings are not guaranteed.
