Overview
The boat leaves the Old Harbour beside Harpa and heads into Faxaflói Bay, going wherever the skipper's sightings that day point. Minke and humpback whales are the most frequent sightings in summer, while white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises are seen year-round. The trip takes about three hours; overalls or rain gear are commonly handed out because of wind and cold on the open deck. Winter sailings are fewer and may be cancelled for weather, and sightings are never guaranteed.
