Overview
On the Gaziantep side, boats leave from the Rumkale harbour on the shore of Kasaba village in Yavuzeli district. The boat first approaches the walls of Rumkale and the church and monastery remains on its rock, then crosses to Savaşan on the opposite bank, where the flooded mosque with its minaret rising from the water can be seen. The route continues down the Euphrates to Halfeti, with a short stop at one end. On shared boats the trip takes about two hours, and before departure you can sit in the harbour tea garden facing Rumkale.
