Overview
Istanbul's municipal ferry company Şehir Hatları runs this long Bosphorus cruise every day. The ferry leaves Eminönü in the morning and calls at piers on both shores before reaching Anadolu Kavağı near the Black Sea entrance. From the deck you pass Dolmabahçe, Ortaköy, both bridges, the Rumeli and Anadolu fortresses and the waterfront mansions. A stop of about two and a half hours at Anadolu Kavağı leaves time to walk up to Yoros Castle or eat at the fish restaurants near the pier. The ferry returns via the same piers and reaches Eminönü in the late afternoon. Round-trip and one-way tickets are available.
