Bartın about
Bartın offers two quite different boat trips. In Amasra, excursion boats leave from the Big Harbour and the Small Harbour and circle Rabbit Island, giving a close look at its rocks and caves. The route passes the Kemere Bridge, which links Amasra Castle to Boztepe Island; there is no swim stop on this short trip of about 45 minutes. In the city centre, river trips run on the Bartın River. Formed where the Kocaçay and Kocanaz streams meet, the river flows about 14 km to the Black Sea; it is a regular waterway navigable by 500-tonne vessels, and its slow current makes it well suited to boat trips.
