Denizli about
Boat tours in Denizli take place on Lake Işıklı in the district of Çivril, home to some of Türkiye's largest expanses of water lilies. Boats leave from piers in the Beydilli and Sundurlu neighbourhoods; the route of about 15 km first follows channels through the reeds, then reaches Kuş Adası (Bird Island), where cormorants nest, and ends among the water-lily fields in the middle of the lake. The trip takes one to one and a half hours. Mornings are best, as the lilies open early and close in the afternoon. The length of the season depends on the lake's water level; tours usually run from May to August.
