Isparta about
Boat tours in Isparta take place on Lake Eğirdir, Türkiye's fourth-largest lake and its second-largest source of fresh water. Eğirdir Municipality runs one-hour cruises on the 60-seat 'Gölbelde 1', whose roof-mounted solar panels power an electric motor, so the boat moves quietly. Leaving from the Eğirdir pier, the tour passes the castle and shows Yeşilada and Can Ada from the water; both islands are now linked to the shore by road. Can Ada was presented to Atatürk in 1933. Tours run from April to October, and the boat can also be hired for private events such as weddings and engagements.
